As a Texan who’s always loved the outdoors, I built TrekTexas by using my knowledge and experience to compile a list of the best wild spaces in the Lone Star State—from sprawling national parks like Big Bend to hidden county preserves and private retreats. My goal was to bring together national, state, county, and private parks into one easy-to-navigate hub where fellow adventurers can instantly find the best trails for hiking, biking, and camping. I focused on a clean, intuitive layout that highlights photos, trail difficulty, and user reviews, so you can plan your next outdoor escape in just a few clicks. By blending thoughtful UX design with comprehensive park data, TrekTexas makes exploring Texas’s vast playground feel as effortless as lacing up your boots and hitting the trail.
